Purple Perennials
Purple perennials can add a rich color to your garden year after year.
Planting perennials is easy, and should be done according to instructions on the packet (some will require a fall planting and others a spring). Most perennials will look best if planted in groups or clumps and some will multiply over the years providing you with stock to replant in other parts of your garden.

Purple is one of my favorite colors and many of these flowers attract butterflies and even hummingbirds. It looks great with all other flowers - even the reds and oranges!
Perennials are a great way to get consistent color year after year - they can initially be a little expensive but unlike annuals, you only have to buy them once and get to enjoy them for many years. It can be fun to add new types of flowers each year depending on your gardening budget and to see your garden get fuller and fuller as time goes on.
