Turn your Garden into a Paradise of Pansies
Pansies are great garden growing plants.
These plants tend to have lovely colors that blend and blossom at the same time. The word pansy means thought or memory in France.
This plant is an amusing flower that seems to be smiling up at you with a little face. Pansies are a hardy plant and are considered a great garden flower all year round. Pansies grow in the South or Southwest part of America every winter while it also grows during summertime in North America.
This is a flexible, tiny and attractive plant with five well-rounded petals. This plant has one of the broadest color varieties available. Included in the wide color range of Pansies are red, purple, blue, pink, yellow, white, lavender and orange. The flowers of pansies are available in one color or it may also have two or three colors in each plant.
The plant alone is dense, which grows almost 9 inches in height and breadth and about 6 centimeter in diameter. It has many stems.
In addition to being a beautiful garden decoration, pansies are also edible and can add color to caustic fabric.
Pansies are easy to grow. What this plant usually needs to grow is a fine soil, stable dampness, and at least a partial sunlight. Pansies are not agreeable to very high temperature and clammy weather, which is why people should plant pansies with at least six to eight inches gap in between.
Since these pansies prefer breezy and cold weather, do not plant them during summer. The perfect time to plant pansies is during fall or early spring.
In warmer climates, if you want to have a garden and you want to start it with planting pansies, do it on months of October and November. Here’s some tips on growing great pansies:
1. First dig or plough the area systematically before planting the pansies.
2. Before you plant the pansies, be certain that the plants are healthy. Check for the root ball of the pansies, if it is dry then wet it.
3. When you finish planting the pansies, maintain watering the plants during the dry season.
4. Frequently apply fertilizer. It is recommended that you use a fertilizer that has a nitrate or nitrogen.
5. To make sure that your pansies are well, get advice and recommendations from a plant expert. He/she will advise you what to use for your pansies that will not harm them.
6. To maintain the perfect blooming of your pansies, pinch off the faded petals or the dead flowers.
7. Make sure the soil where you planted the pansies is kept wet or moist but not too wet!
Through a little bit of time and care you can have beautiful pansies smiling up at you all season long!
